9th EuChemS Chemistry Congress (ECC9) - Giordani Group Presents their Research


The 9th EuChemS Chemistry Congress (ECC9), organised by the Institute of Chemistry of Ireland (ICI), was held in Dublin, Ireland, on July 7-11, 2024. All current members of the Giordani Group participated in the conference and presented their research.

Prof. Silvia Giordani, member of the ECC-9 local organising committee, delivered an invited talk entitled “Carbon nano-onions for biomedical applications” during the Monday Nanochemistry/Materials 3 session.

Hugh Mohan gave an oral presentation entitled “A smart nanocarrier system for the delivery of Doxorubicin to cancer cells” during the Thursday Nanochemistry/Materials 12 session.

Dr. Sofia Dominguez Gil gave a short oral presentation entitled “Environmentally Friendly Synthesis of Carbon Dots” during the Tuesday Nanochemistry/Materials 6 session and supported it with a poster during the same day’s poster session.

Michał Bartkowski presented a poster entitled “Enhancing PDAC therapy with CD44-targeted CNO-mediated delivery of GEM-derived prodrugs” during the Monday poster session.
